    1. [S1] Rijksarchiefdienst (c) 2000, Wie was Wie, (Website - Iedereen heeft een geschiedenis), in 1814 in huis: Hendrik Roelfs Gijzen geb.: 12 Aug 1802 (Reliability: 3).
      Zij kopen in 1775 een bierbrouwerij van Hendrik Hayes en vrouw Lutgert Hindriks voor F 4224,--. De zaak stond aan de Ommelanderwijk. In 1786 werd Jan Engels eigenaar van een herberg en verkocht de brouwerije aan de brouwer Lubbartus de Jonge en vrouw Hillegijn Person voor F 3300,-- Jan Engels werd daarbij verplicht bier te tappen uit de brouwerij van Lubbartus de Jonge, die zich tot levering van de eerste kwaliteit verbond.
