    Geschiedenis Louis kwam als slaaf mee met Cornelis Star Lichtevoort en werkte aanvankelijk voor hem als koetsier. Aangezien slavernij in Nederland niet werd toegestaan was hij dus een vrij man. Mogelijk dat Cornelis zijn vader was en hem verwekt had bij een slavin en hem meenam. We zullen het waarschijnlijk nooit weten.
